FindTheater.com: Reading Community Players Presents "Disney's 101 DALMATIONS Kids"

In a loving home in the city of London, Dalmatian parents, Pongo and Perdita happily raise their Dalmatian puppies, until the monstrous Cruella De Vil plots to steal them for her new fur coat! Join all the dogs of London, as they daringly rescue the puppies from Cruella and her bumbling henchmen. With a delightfully fun score, lovable characters, and one of the most deliciously evil villains in the Disney canon, this stage adaptation is certain to charm and delight all audiences.

When Reading Community Players began planning for their spring children's show, Disney's 101 Dalmatians, it seemed obvious that partnerships with local animal shelters would be a good fit. By coincidence, April is Prevention of Animal Cruelty month. During the run of the show, April 28, 29, May 5, 6, 12 and 13, RCP will be collecting donations for The Animal Rescue League (4/28 & 4/29), the Humane Society of Berks County (5/5 &5/6) and Willing Hearts Dalmatian Rescue, Inc. (5/12 & 5/13). Each of these organizations works toward the humane treatment of animals through safe shelters, medical treatment and, more importantly, the education of the general public about responsible pet care. The needs of the groups are remarkably similar: blankets, towels, metal food dishes, washable toys, office supplies and cash donations. Food has been omitted due to the recent pet food recalls. More detailed information can be found at the websites for each group. Each donation brought to the theatre by members of the audience will be rewarded with "doggie dollars" that can be redeemed for concessions.
