During an ostentatious wedding reception at a Knoxville, Tennessee estate, five reluctant, identically-clad bridesmaids hide out in an upstairs bedroom, each with her own reason to avoid the proceedings below. As the afternoon wears on, these five very different women joyously discover a common bond in this wickedly funny event.

Break out the Southern accent if you can (or be willing to learn one by production dates). There is "pot-smoking" on stage as well. Meredith	female	20-30	Younger sister of the bride who is a pot-smoking, rebellious anarchist. MUST be comfortable with undressing on stage and "flashing" the wedding guests (not openly visible to the audience
Trisha	female	30-40	Jaded, beautiful, soured hopeless romantic who has been involved with her fair share of men
Georgeanne	female	30-40	Bride's former friend. She's unhappily married, self-deprecating, desperate, a complusive eater and worrier.
Frances	female	20-25	Very naive cousin of the bride who is sweet and very religious.
Mindy	female	20-40	Outspoken lesbian sister of the groom
