Personal information is information about you that is personally identifiable like your name, address,

Access Levels and Information Collected
Minors
Per the Terms of Usage for this site, and in concern for the privacy of minors, we do not permit
anyone under the age of 18 to register for a personal account on this site. If someone under the age of 18 registers
a personal account here, we will terminate the account and remove all associated personal information
as soon as we become aware of this violation of the Terms of Usage. Any minors who wish to use this site
must do so with the limited access of an anonymous user (without a trackable personal account), or under the
direct supervision and responsibility of a parent or legal guardian, using that adult's personal account.
Anonymous Users
You may access this site without logging in with a personally-identifiable account. If you do, we will
only collect:
- the basic information about your computer, browser, and connection, to make sure
that we can get you the proper information and for security purposes; and
- aggregate information on what pages are visited to improve our site and inform
our subscribing performing arts groups of the effectiveness of their advertising here.
We may share such information
(whether or not you log in as a personally-identifiable user) with other web site administrators and/or law enforcement
in the investigation of any violation of law, government regulation, or the Terms of Usage of this site.
Anonymous users are limited to read-only access to this website. To create show listings and other
postings here, you must log in with a personal account.
Identified Users
For a personal account, we minimally collect your e-mail address and a password of your choice. This
is used to identify you when you log in. Log-ins (both successful and not) are logged for security purposes,
and may be shared as described for anonymous users.
If you choose to subscribe to one of the performing arts group mailing lists, we will ask you for:
- your e-mail address, so that the list e-mails may be correctly forwarded to you.
Note that, if you are an Identified User, we will use the e-mail address you provided.
We use a "double-blind" system of mailing list aliases, so the performing arts group running the mailing list
will not be informed of your e-mail address. They will only know how many people have subscribed to
any given list. You may unsubscribe from a list at any time; this will not affect any other
actions or authorizations you have made on this website. We are not responsible for any "spyware" that
may be delivered to you by mailing list operators. However, such "spyware" or other means of collecting
personal information without your consent via e-mail is prohibited by our Terms of Usage; if a mailing
list operator is detected using such techniques to work around our double-blind system, they will lose their
access to this site, per the Terms of Usage.
Verified Users
We collect additional personally identifiable information about individuals who
want to post information about their performing arts group's activities. This
information is only made available:
- to the website administrators for security and verification purposes, to ensure
that those attempting to alter postings on this website are the people they say they are
and are authorized by the relevant performing arts group to make those changes.
- to the extent you have explicitly authorized it, to the individuals in charge
of each performing arts group to whom you have explicitly requested posting access,
so they can verify to whom they are granting access. You may revoke this authorization
at any time on a per-theater basis, although you will lose any granted access rights when you do. Under our
Terms of Usage, the persons in charge of a group's listings may only use this specific
personally-identifable information we provide for the sole purpose of granting and revoking
access rights to you. If they wish to use your information for any other purpose,
they must obtain the information and authorization from you directly under the terms
of their own privacy policy. Note that, just because you provided personally-identifiable
information through us to a performing arts group, they are under no obligation to
grant you any alteration access rights to their information on this site.
- to the extent you have explicitly authorized it, to all verified users who look up
your personal talent profile.
The additional information we will ask you for includes:
- your name,
- your postal address, and
- your telephone number,
so we can verify your identity and that you
did ask for these greater rights (and not someone else impersonating you).
Other Personally Identifiable Information, Optional Services
We may collect any additional information you voluntarily choose to provide for other optional
services we may provide. These optional services will have their own Privacy Policy
addendum, describing the additional uses we would make of your information in order to provide
the optional services. These optional services may not be available to you unless you provide the
additional information, but not providing the information will not prevent you from using the
basic features of the site.
Cookies
FindTheater.com uses cookies only to manage your interactive session with our website. We do
not store any personally-identifiable information in cookies, unless you ask us to remember your
login name for you, in which case a cookie with your e-mail address will be stored on your computer.
We do not share or sell any of the information stored in cookies with other parties or affiliates.
Duration of Information
We will keep the information about you for as long as you remain a user of our site. If you
explicitly terminate your account or are inactive for one year, we will remove your information from
our databases. Information may remain in our offline disaster-recovery backup storage for up to six months
after removal from the on-line systems.
Updating Your Information
You may change your personal information at any time by logging in to your account here and
clicking the "Edit My Profile" link on the website home page. You may also terminate your account from this page.
Note that changing personal information used to verify your identity may disable your access to features
allowed only to Verified users until we re-verify you.
Terminating your personal account will not delete any listings you have posted to the site. If you wish
to have such listings removed, you should delete them before deleting your account.
Law Enforcement, Force Majeure
We may release your personally-identifiable information without your consent to law enforcement or
other government agencies under the following circumstances:
- to comply with a sub poena, search warrant, judicial order, or other due process of law.
- in compliance with any statute, law, or regulation requiring us to do so.
- if, in the website administrator's sole discretion, such release is necessary
to prevent immediate damage or loss of life or property.
